Step 1- Install App: Residents scan QRcode (standee, poster) or find PIHOME PRO app in App Store | CH Play download and install on smartphone

Currently, PiHome is a Vietnamese-English bilingual platform. However, the PiHome system supports multi-languages on request, so if the partner has a need to deploy other languages, PiHome will support it separately, ensuring high compatibility with the actual needs of the project.

Currently, the system has linked payment gateways with partners: Viettel money (Wallet - ViettelPay), Bao Kim (Banking system, Visa, Master Card,...), MoMo (Wallet), Payoo (Payment Gateway). accounting), Casso (a system for quick balance checking). 1. Security and Privacy Standards

Our customers and users have control and ownership over their data. PiHome employs a comprehensive approach to building a robust defense system that integrates top-quality security practices and services. Additionally, we provide comprehensive security compliance features and solutions to help enterprise administrators build trust with their members and meet global data compliance requirements.

 

1.1. Security Standards


1.1.1. Server & Data Storage PiHome software is deployed in parallel on Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructures, leveraging the top-notch security capabilities of both AWS and Azure to ensure the safety of PiHome's entire system infrastructure. By utilizing leading cloud security architectures with essential detection capabilities, vulnerability scanning, intrusion detection, container security, service isolation, and zero-trust access mechanisms, PiHome ensures the security of its business operations at all times. The dual deployment of these two world-class infrastructures minimizes potential risks, including disaster recovery scenarios. Regular disaster recovery drills and data recovery tests are conducted to ensure business continuity during any unexpected major disasters or incidents. Additionally, to comply with Vietnam's data storage standards as per Decree 13/2023/ND-CP, PiHome has equipped a data synchronization infrastructure to ensure that residents' databases are always stored in Vietnam.

 

1.1.2. Data Access PiHome has strict protocols to ensure access to user data is controlled and isolated. Without proper authorization, users cannot access each other's data, and the data owner must explicitly permit all data access. By default, our employees do not have access to any user data. During deployment and post-deployment support, PiHome personnel do not directly handle sensitive customer data but instead, guide and train the customer's staff to perform operations on their systems. In cases where customers send data to PiHome personnel, this implies that PiHome is exempt from liability in those instances.

 

1.1.3. Data Security PiHome implements stringent organizational and security measures at every stage of data collection, transmission, and storage. We employ various encryption methods and process monitoring techniques to detect and address anomalies as early as possible, ensuring the security of data throughout its lifecycle. PiHome also encrypts sensitive data at the database layer to mitigate the risk of unauthorized external hacker access. PiHome has a comprehensive data lifecycle management mechanism with clear processes and technical assurances for creating, storing, transmitting, using, and destroying data. Additionally, PiHome provides Key Management Services (KMS) and Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) solutions to enhance data security protection (for hybrid deployment options where data is stored on servers designated by the customer).

 

1.1.4. Source Code Security The source code, developed in-house by PiHome, is registered for copyright protection and based on a microservices architecture, with each service operating independently, including its source code, database, and service isolation. In each service, the database is separate from the API server. Each service’s database can only be accessed by the server in that service. All external access goes through the API gateway. Services communicate with each other via a private network. Developers are only allowed to connect through SSH Key and VPN. The API Gateway employs AWS’s Web Application Firewall (WAF), CloudFront, and Route53. The API includes clusters with smaller API gateways, utilizing load balancer techniques to distribute API traffic and prevent denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. Access authentication processes use multiple methods, and the system automatically detects and blocks common password-cracking attempts, alerting the security team of any unusual activities. Additionally, the source code is minified and obfuscated to prevent unauthorized reading, and the code is bundled, compressed, and split for better external concealment. All communications on the source use HTTPS protocol, with a Passport for user communication and authentication.

 

1.1.5. Account Security PiHome supports Single Sign-On (SSO) through standard protocols and existing enterprise identity platforms, adhering to the enterprise's account security policies and parameters. PiHome also offers the option to use its authentication to enhance account security through two-factor verification and other features.

 

1.1.6. Member Permission PiHome provides flexible permission control measures to help administrators grant only necessary permissions to organizational members. Through display configuration communication and collaboration rights, administrators can create information barriers within the organization to prevent ineffective information disruption for sensitive employees and protect sensitive information within the organization. PiHome’s permission system is developed in detail for each role, group, and right, allowing for easy, precise, and flexible permission assignment to any user.

 

1.1.7.  Network Security The design of network device clusters is independent and isolated from each other, with multiple disaster recovery operations implemented at the device level. They are equipped with robust gateway and access control mechanisms, and all communication processes are strictly encrypted to prevent intrusion and malicious control from external sources.

 

1.1.8. Application Security All third-party developed or integrated applications go through APIs and are directed to the corresponding database layer for data exchange. At the application layer, sensitive data such as emails and phone numbers are masked, and all queries accessing this information from users are logged. Sensitive data exported from the system is automatically encrypted to prevent exposure from exported files.

 

1.1.9. Data Backup Important data is regularly backed up daily and continuously stored for 30 days. Source code is backed up daily, and synchronized across both staging and production environments.

 

1.1.10. High Availability The system ensures 99.99% uptime using techniques such as load balancing, EC2 multi-AZ, auto-scaling at the source and load balancer levels, multi-AZ, and replica at the database layer. SNS alerts notify System Admins of disruptions or overloads in services. Elastic load balancers automatically route network traffic.

 

1.1.11. Deployment Process We prioritize security throughout the product development lifecycle (Dev - Staging - Production) to ensure stable services, avoid interruptions, and safeguard users. Our DevOps team is supported by a professional operations security team and high-standard security operation mechanisms to promptly address security incidents and respond immediately upon detection.

 

PiHome developers do not have direct access to production servers except for core personnel authorized specifically by the company's leadership. During incidents, debug data is extracted in encrypted form, which developers cannot decrypt without direct keys from production. Debug data access for developers is approved by senior management (CTO/BOD).

 

CI/CD source code deployment processes are fully automated through CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and Kubernetes (K8s).

 

1.2. Privacy


Your data under your control is a guiding principle at PiHome. Customers and users have the right to control how data created and stored within PiHome is handled. On the PiHome system, data entered by customers can be deleted by customers when they no longer cooperate. Personal information entered by residents themselves can be deleted by the residents on the application. A mobile app account is entered by residents alone, with a one-time password as the password.
